TSG Global offers a variety of APIs to help you unload/stop using phone numbers once you are done using them. To fully remove a 10DLC number from the messaging ecosystem, you need to perform two different API calls - one to remove any existing campaigns from the telephone number, and another to remove the number from your TSG Global account.
Step 1 - Delete 10DLC Number from Ecosystem
Firstly, you need to delete any associated campaign with the number from the 10DLC ecosystem. This can be done by performing the DELETE function detailed here on the long code:
Step 2 - Delete 10DLC Number from your TSG Global Account
Once you received confirmation that the number has been removed from the campaign successfully, you can delete the number from your TSG Global account using the disconnect end-point detailed here: https://docs.tsgglobal.com/api-reference/phone-numbers/disconnect-number
Note: if your campaign no longer has any phone numbers associated with it, you also need to delete the campaign through either TNID (if TSG Global managed), or directly with The Campaign Registry. Failure to delete the campaign and have it active without any associated 10DLC numbers will result in non-use fines from T-Mobile.
